1968 Hong Kong

240. SE Asia – Hong Kong, Ladder St and around

Hello – Welcome to WDEOD, a site full of Doris’ photographs!

Its purpose is to share the shots she took in her 50+ years of travel. I’m trying to do a post a film – so one tour may have many posts.
To see what I’ve put up so far, use the menu (three lines up there ↑ if you are on a phone or tablet) to go to a place or a year.

These are a few shots from three different films. I can tell as the slide mounts have different printing. As there are only few and they fit Doris’ pencilled sequence (487 – 504) I’ll post the together.

Thanks here to Ben Stables for corrections and additions.

  1. Wonderful photos!
Ladder Street is composed of stone steps, so some of these must have been taken on the streets nearby. The photo of the Cenotaph is stunning. Behind it is the old Hong Kong Club building (since demolished) not the Legislative Council building, and to the left is a part of City Hall at Edinburgh place
